FITNESS INSTRUCTORS
Meet the Center Fitness Instructors!

Kaitlyn P.
Kaitlyn is a group fitness instructor at the Center that likes to get people moving and exercising in a fun, energetic manner. After spending years focusing on correct and believable movement as an animator, Kaitlyn was inspired by her physical therapist and her passion for helping others to start teaching correct and safe movement in exercise to move better in life and in the gym. When not animating, teaching, or learning, you can find her hiking and spending time with her husband and fluffy dog.
“Teaching has become my true passion. I love how everyone in my classes inspires me to keep improving, and I hope I inspire others as well. Making sure we all keep moving into our 100s is a huge goal of mine, and it really is if you don’t use it, you lose it! Let’s keep moving together!”

Lisa T.
Lisa is a fitness instructor and NASM certified personal trainer and Group Ex instructor at the Center. Her experience includes coaching, managing a youth basketball league, teaching, and training. She is also a certified nutrition consultant. When she’s not teaching she enjoys hiking, road biking, backpacking, swimming, planning adventures, laughing and spending time with her husband and three kids.
“Every client has a different starting point and goals. I love working with people to reach the level of fitness that makes them feel stronger, healthier, and more confident. Training for an event, getting ready for ski season, gaining strength or flexibility, or losing weight all take customized plans. I place a high priority in safe training, keeping you injury free and locating any muscle imbalances. And, I promise a fun session with variety to help the time fly!"

Meredith
Meredith has been a fitness and aquatics instructor and coach, Program Coordinator and Director at the Center for over 17 years. The Center has provided programs that her family (2 daughters and husband) have enjoyed including PCCA, Upward, Youth Fitness, Youth Tennis, Swim Lessons, Summer Camps as well as volunteering, staffing, leadership development and supervisory roles.
“ I believe that each of us needs to find balance in life, so that we can enjoy being happy and healthy physically, emotionally and spiritually. As a Mom and wife, I have found that being in community and supporting one another to achieve this goal has made the hard work, commitments, and goals so much more fun to achieve and translates into me being the best version of myself that I can be both at work and at home. My wish is that everyone in our community can experience this and share it with their families and friends.”

Martine
Martine is a NASM certified personal trainer and group ex instructor. She also graduated from the French Culinary Institute, and is a Certified Nutrition Consultant. When she’s not teaching she enjoys cooking, hiking, traveling, and spending time with her husband and two kids.

“My favorite part of teaching is the engagement with the people who come to my classes. The positive energy they bring inspires me every week. I find it so motivating to be part of a wonderful community that is supportive and keeps each other accountable. My goal is to continue to foster those connections moving forward.”

Melody
Melody Mai has been passionate about dance and music all her life. As a child, it taught her to love herself and to have self-confidence. Ryan
Ryan Huo is a Taiwanese native who is certified in Group Power, Group Blast, Group Core, TRX, and by the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA). His love for fitness began 2008 while attending Group Fitness classes, especially doing STEP Aerobics, where he secretly practiced STEP at home and imagined he was successfully leading a full class of participants! He has a BA, specializing in piano performance, from UC Santa Cruz. When he is not leading Group Power or training for marathons and open water swims, Ryan is busy with his 40 kids—at the piano.

Laura
Laura is a yoga instructor at the Center who enjoys offering Vinyasa Flow-style classes that provide opportunities for participants to stretch, build strength, find balance, and center themselves. Laura's journey to becoming a yoga instructor grew from her passion for teaching as she is also a National Board Certified Language Arts teacher and educational therapist with 15 years of experience supporting reading and writing skills in students from first grade through college. In addition to being committed to her yoga practice and teaching, Laura is dedicated to all sorts of physical activities such as running, spinning, swimming, hiking, and keeping up with her three young children.
"The PCC is my happy place. The Center and its community continually bring nourishment, joy, and inspiration to my life, and I hope that my yoga classes can do the same for the Center's members."
